Our poor sweet puppy...

You all know Hank, right?

Well, a few weeks ago our sweet darling puppy was reported to the County Animal Services... we all know how ferocious Hank is, right? Right. (No, he was actually reported for not being on a leash... in the entire 7 1/2 years we've lived in this neighborhood, nobody has ever minded... oh, well.) Don't worry... he's still ours...for days he had to be walked around on a leash...in his own yard (so he wouldn't go on his own daily walk around the neighborhood). But we ALL got tired of that. Imagine not being able to go to the bathroom in private!
So, we went out and bought a new wireless fence...but he has to wear the bad red collar (yes, the zapper colloar). In his head, he must be screaming about the whole deal! (As you see in the picture below)

We think he looks very handsome in his "red collar", but he would rather do without...the poor thing wasn't eating right for the first few days and he would walk around the house just sulking...but now he IS getting used to it. And he DOES seem to enjoy hanging out in the yard again...and getting to relieve himself in private again.
We just keep telling him, it's for his own good...We love you, Hanky- panky! It'll be okay.

Oh! I think I forgot to mention that we now have a Wii! Come over and play with us some time!!

Uh Uh...Wii!!!!! :)

Ryan's dog had a fence like this in college for safety reasons (busy college street). In Cview we had to put in one WITH our privacy fence b/c our Crazy pup could scale and jump so well. Like Hank just wanted a little "play time" alone and then back home. Needless to say we have one in our new home. He will "get over" it soon. Christy doesn't go ANYWHERE near the line and enjoys her backyard. I love Hank...such a good dog! :)

Oh no, not our Hanky Panky....
Sorry to hear that one of our granddoggies got into trouble. Aunt Sis & Uncle Todd installed a wireless fence on the farm a couple of years ago for their pack of seven and it has worked very well. Hope Hank gets happy again and won't miss visiting the neighbors too much.
Love to all, (Hank Too)!!!

He's in good company with the collar. Maggie has one too.
What a hilarious email. Thanks for sharing and letting us into "Hanks World". You should write that in for a skit to SNL. None of us would ever see it, but it'd be funny none-the-less.
